J Lo`s fears concerning her children
The `On The Floor` hitmaker has recalled her panic at finding the bump on the head of her daughter, who is now three, shortly after she and her twin brother Max were born and she was so worried she and her then-husband Marc Anthony rushed her straight to hospital.
Jennifer told CNN: "I just remember that feeling of something is wrong with that baby and I`m gonna die.
"I remember looking at Marc and going, ?We should call the doctor.` I started panicking a little bit and he was panicking too because we were thinking, `Did somebody drop her when we weren`t looking?`
"I just remember looking at him and saying, `If this baby ? if Emme`s not going to be OK, I`m not going to be OK. He`s like, `I`m not going to be OK - none of us are going to be OK.` "
"Luckily" everything was fine with Emme after she underwent some routine tests, but it made Jennifer think about the stresses that less fortunate mothers experience because of their lack of money
She said: "I was thinking, `What if I didn`t have that? What if I didn`t have access to great health care?` What if I was a mom just sitting there and there was something wrong with my baby and there was nothing I could do about it?"
In response to the scare, Jennifer and Marc started the Maribel Foundation, named after Marc`s sister Maribel who died of brain cancer at eight, which is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children.
